Click It or Ticket

The NCHSAA is pleased to announce the “Click It or Ticket” initiative, part of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP), as our Official "Click or Ticket" Partner through the end of 2017. The GHSP is a division of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), and is dedicated to promoting highway safety awareness to reduce the number of traffic crashes and fatalities in the state of North Carolina through the planning and execution of safety programs, including “Click It or Ticket.”

There are various ways that your high school can become involved in this program which will run from September 2017 through December 2017.

Every Seat. Every Time. Seat Belt Pledge

Promote the online School Seat Belt Pledge to your student body, teachers, parents, fans – anyone within your school and local community!
Forward the pledge and even link it to your school’s website.

Media Kit

  • Public Service Announcements
Have your announcers read the public service announcements at your home games/events and during dismissal messaging each afternoon to promote the safety message.
  • Posters
Download and hang the poster in high traffic areas of your school (i.e. gymnasium, lobby, cafeteria, hallways, locker rooms, rest rooms, etc.). You can download additional posters from the NCHSAA website, too! (Click on image to download high resolution image)

Capture photos of students, fans and/or parents in and around the posters and post them to your school’s social media account with hashtag #EverySeatEveryTime to show your school’s participation.
