CHAPEL HILL—Chapel Hill High School has announced the latest inductees to the Chapel Hill-Lincoln High School Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremonies and banquet will be held April 18, 2015, at Chapel Hill High School.
Here are the new inductees in to the Hall, which also recognizes coaches and athletes from the old Lincoln High School, a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Conference:
Tommy Drake (CHHS Class of 2007)—four-year all-conference soccer player and two-time all-state performer who attended Clemson University and was the 2007 Atlantic Coast Confernece Freshman of the Year
Prevost Foushee (CHHS Class of 1970)—outstanding football player who won the school’s Golden Helmet Award in 1979 and was a member of the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team
Kellan McKeon (CHHS Class of 2004)—two time NCHSAA state championship in wrestling (2003 at 103 pounds, 2004 at 112) who attended Duke University and wrestled all four years there
Patrick McGuire (CHHS Class of 1994)—won the 1994 NCHSAA state championship in wrestling at 152 pounds and also competed in cross country; three-time all-conference in wrestling
Ron Strong (CHHS Class of 2004)—2004 PAC-6 Player of the Year in basketball who went on to earn All-American honors at Guilford College and was 2007 National Player of the Year in Division III; 6 years professionally overseas
Gary Andrew (CHHS cross country coach 1978-83)—coached six NCHSAA state championship cross country teams at Chapel Hill, 1979-82 for the men and 1980-81 in women’s; went on to coach cross country at Davidson College
