Rusty LaRue Is New Basketball Coach at West Forsyth

     A former North Carolina High School Athletic Association Athlete of the Year has been selected as the new men’s basketball head coach at West Forsyth.

     Rusty LaRue was a standout basketball player at Wake Forest after an excellent career at Northwest Guilford, where he won the NCHSAA Male Athlete of the Year award in the 1991-92 academic year.

     LaRue, who is age 41, has high school and collegiate coaching experience.  He has coached at Forsyth Country Day and was a head coach at Greensboro College to go with serving as an assistant at Wake Forest.

     He will be a non-faculty head coach and will continue his work as a partner and owner with Dairi-O Restaurant.
