2021-2022 WEEK 2 | Performance of the Week, Powered by OrthoCarolina

CHAPEL HILL— Mackenzie Lynch from T.C. Roberson High School and Wyatt Holland from Midway High School have been named recipients of the NCHSAA Performance of the Week award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. Each week two athletes in North Carolina High School Athletic Association competition are selected for this award from nominations received from coaches, media, and school administrators. 

Lynch, a Senior on the T.C. Roberson Volleyball team had 1 ace, 17 kills, 2.5 blocks, and 9 digs against West Henderson last week.  She also passed an average serve receive score of 2.42 as the Rams won 3-0.

Holland, a Senior on the Midway Football team threw for 618 yards and an NCHSAA record 10 touchdowns in Midway’s 80-73 win over Hobbton last Monday.  Holland also ran in a touchdown, accounting for 11 scores total.

Weekly recipients will be recognized on the NCHSAA Website and social media pages.  The deadline for nominations is each Monday at 5 p.m through the online form that can be found here.
