Each week, two athletes in an NCHSAA competition are selected as the recipients of the Performance of the Week award, sponsored by Ortho Carolina. Whether you walk, run, or ride, Ortho Carolina will keep you healthy why you do it.
This week the NCHSAA recognizes Jarrett Huff of Holly Springs High School. Huff is a senior on the men’s lacrosse team and had incredible conference game performance this past week. The senior went 9 for 9 from shooting, scoring 9 goals, dished out 4 assists, and had 6 ground balls in two games.
We also recognize Olivia Porter of the 3A Women’s Basketball State Championship team from Northwood High School. Porter, a senior, was named the 3A title game Kay Yow Most Valuable Player. She scored 18 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and totaled 5 assists. Porter also shot 40% from three-point range and stole the ball 4 times. What a way to end her high school career, with a championship ring.
