This fall after Hurricane Sandy devastated so many areas, Ashley High School decided to reach out and help.  Athletic Director, Roy Turner, was put in contact with Point Pleasant Beach High School in New Jersey.  Most of their athletic equipment was flooded and lost, boosters had no ability to earn funds, and 1/3 of their students were still displaced a month after the storm.
 
With the help of local businesses, and support from, Ashley Athletes, EAHS Athletic Boosters, Ashley High School’s Student Council is sponsoring a 5k and mile fun run/walk.  All proceeds will go towards Point Pleasant Beach High School.  The race is being held February 9th at Ashley High School.  Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m.  The fun run/walk will take place at 10:00 a.m., followed by the 5k at 10:30.  The event will start and finish at the Ashley High School track.
