January 11, 2002

On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Brittany Boyce of East Rutherford connected on nine three-point field goals in a women’s basketball game against West Lincoln.  Boyce’s performance was just two three-pointers short of the NCHSAA record.

January 11, 2005

On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Ty Carter of Bessemer City knocked in 14 three-point field goals in a men’s basketball game against Polk County to set the single-game three-point state mark.  Carter led Bessemer City to a 73-48 victory.
