CARY HIGH SPORTS HALL OF FAME NAMES 2012 CLASS
CARY — The Cary High Sports Hall of Fame will induct three new members during the September 21 home football game against Middle Creek.
This year’s inductees are Dr. Douglas Martini, Megan Armstrong and Justin Mauney, and all three are still involved with Cary High School.
This fall, Martini will begin his 20th year of service as the athletic program’s head team physician.
Armstrong (’01), now a counselor at the school, was a four-time conference girls swimmer of the year while also being a two-time all-state selection in soccer.
Mauney (’00), an assistant coach on the JV boys’ basketball team, was the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s top male scholar-athlete of the year his senior year, winning the NCHSAA state scholarship award, while competing in soccer, basketball and track.
