PFAFFTOWN— Gary Nail will lead the Reagan High School baseball program as interim head coach, according to a report in The Winston-Salem Journal.

Nail, who was an assistant at Reagan last spring, was elevated to the position when Jamie Mabe resigned earlier in August.

Nail coached 13 seasons at South Stokes and guided the Sauras to North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 1-A baseball crowns from 2002 to 2004.  Dustin Ackley, former University of North Carolina star now with the Seattle Mariners, played on a pair of those state titlists.

The new Reagan coach currently teaches physical education at two Stokes County elementary schools.
