Coaches Named For North Carolina Coaches Association 2013 All-star Games

COACHES NAMED FOR NCCA ALL-STAR CONTESTS IN 2013

GREENSBORO— The coaches have been named for the North Carolina Coaches’ Association high school all-star games in the summer of 2013.

In football, the East head coach will be Randy Raper of Wilson Hunt. His staff will include Ken Avent Jr., of James Kenan, Jim Bob Bryant of Havelock, Jeff Gould of SouthWest Edgecombe, Tyrone Johnson of Wilson Beddingfield and David Lovett of Hope Mills Gray’s Creek.

That East team will face a West all-star squad with Shane Laws of Asheville A.C. Reynolds as head coach. The West staff will include Dale Barnes of West Davidson, Butch Carter of South Caldwell, Mike Johns of Mount Pleasant, Scott Johnson of Boonville Starmount and Terry Radford of Gastonia Hunter Huss.

The West team in women’s basketball will have Amber Fox of Morganton Freedom as head coach and Greg Speight of North Stanly as the assistant. Grady Williams of Weldon will head up the staff for the East women with Janie Cofield of Pasquotank as the assistant.

Bill Boyette of Fayetteville Terry Sanford will be the head coach of the East men’s team, with Tommy Moore of Raleigh Enloe assisting Boyette. Rob Bliss of Fred T. Foard in Catawba County is the West head coach, with Al Andrew of Albemarle the assistant.

In men’s soccer, the East team will have Leshaun Jenkins of Tarboro as head coach, going against the East coached by Greensboro Grimsley’s Matt Martineau. The women’s soccer game will have Deran Coe of Wake Forest-Rolesville as the head coach of the East and Asheboro’s Beth Luck leading the West.

The annual North Carolina-South Carolina basketball all-star games next summer will see Tony Marshburn of Northside (Onslow) coaching the North Carolina men’s team, assisted by Frank Maennle of Swain County. The North Carolina women will be coached by Sherri Tynes of Wilmington Laney, with Eastern Alamance’s Tim Krotish the assistant.
