HERMAN LITTLE RETIRES AT NORTHEASTERN

ELIZABETH CITY— Veteran coach, teacher and administrator Herman Little has announced his retirement at Northeastern High School.

Little has been athletic director at Northeastern for the past eight years and had 37 years in education, including a stint at Northeastern since 1988. In addition to his teaching there, he helped coach track and football and also served as wrestling coach.

Little is a 1972 graduate of Northeastern and is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University. He was serving a term on the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Board of Directors that was scheduled to run through June of 2013, but he also had to resign from the Board since he was no longer in active school work.
