RALEIGH— Russ Frazier is the new head men’s basketball coach at Leesville Road High School, according to multiple media reports.

Frazier moves to the Raleigh school after a very successful stint at Northwood. Frazier coached six years with the Chargers and put together an outstanding record, with a record of 133-39 and two berths in North Carolina High School Athletic Association state championship games, playing for the title in both 2009 and ’11.

Frazier also coached men’s soccer at Northwood and led his Chargers to a state title appearance in that sport as well, in 2009. He has also served as an assistant basketball coach at New Hanover. 

The new Pride coach will also be assisting in football at Leesville Road.
