WAKEFIELD NAMES NEW FOOTBALL HEAD COACH
RALEIGH — Wakefield High School has announced that Rod Sink has been named its new head football coach.
Sink has been as an assistant coach at Wakefield for the last eight seasons and was offensive coordinator the last three years. He replaces J.D. Dinwiddie, who resigned early last month and is now the head football coach at North Henderson.
Wakefield was 9-3 last year and lost to Wilmington Laney 30-27 in the opening round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 4-AA state playoffs.
