CHARLOTTE— Hopewell High School has won a $5,000 grant, offered by Liberty Mutual Insurance, to encourage sportsmanship among adults in youth sports, according to The Charlotte Observer.
The grant is part of Liberty Mutual’s Responsible Sports Program. It scheduled to be awarded to the school between the varsity basketball games last Friday night.
To win the award, parents and school staff completed an Internet-based course designed to help adults play a positive role in youth sports. In addition, parents and staff recruited other members of the community to complete the course.
