HOLLY SPRINGS—Wayne Bragg has been named the new head football coach at Holly Springs, according to a variety of media reports.

For the last two years, Bragg has been the athletic director at Green Hope, which won the NCHSAA’s Wells Fargo Cup at the 4-A level in both of those years. Prior to taking that position, Bragg was the head football coach for five years at Panther Creek, where his teams were 29-32 overall but 21-6 in his final two years at the helm.

Bragg will take over for Will Orbin, who resigned in January.  The Golden Hawks lost in the first round of the NCHSAA playoffs in 2013.
