Knightdale Football Coach Heading To Burns

LAWNDALE—Burns High School has named Robert Senseney as its new head football coach, according to various media reports including HighSchoolOT.com.

Senseney will head to Burns to take over as head coach at that Cleveland County school. He led Knightdale to its best record in school history in 2013, as the Knights posted an 11-2 record. Knightdale lost in the third round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association playoffs to eventual state runner-up Scotland.

The new Burns coach came to Knightdale after serving as head coach at William Fleming High School in Roanoke, VA.   He had won a pair of Virginia High School League (VHSL) state championships while at Gretna in 2003 and 2004.
