CARY—The Duke Heart Center is presenting the first annual Duke Sudden Cardiac Death in Athletes Symposium.
It is scheduled for the Embassy Suites in Cary on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
The program is designed to meet the continuing education needs of cardiologists, primary care physicians, sports medicine specialists, exercise physiologists, athletic trainers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and allied health professionals.
The overall goals of the activities at the symposium are to enhance the participants’ knowledge and competency to incorporate evidence-based updates in the case of athletes to mitigate their risk for sudden cardiac death.
The program starts at seven o’clock on that Saturday morning with registration and breakfast and runs through 5 p.m.
