MORGANTON—Joe Glass is leaving his position as head football coach at Patton High School in Burke County for a job in Cabarrus County.

     Glass has been named the head coach at Jay Robinson High School, which posted a record of 1-10 a year ago.

     He is a 1995 graduate of Freedom High and has previously been an assistant coach at Alexander Central and Hickory. He was an assistant at Patton for four years before taking over as head coach in 2012.

     Patton now seeks its fifth head football coach in the last six seasons. School officials noted that the search for a new coach is underway.
