Freeman To Coach At Broughton

     RALEIGH—Jim Freeman has been named the new head volleyball coach at Broughton High School, according to a report in the Raleigh News and Observer.

     Freeman most recently has been the volleyball coach at St. Mary’s in Raleigh after a stint as the volleyball coach at Barton College in Wilson.

     Prior to going to Barton College, Freeman coached Cardinal Gibbons to six consecutive North Carolina High School Athletic Association state volleyball titles after winning six championships in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association.

     According to the News and Observer, Freeman has compiled a 426-111 career coaching record in high school competition.
