L.J. Hepp is resigning as the head men’s basketball coach at Panther Creek High School but will continue in his duties as athletic director, according to an announcement for the school and numerous media reports, including HighSChoolOT.com.

     Hepp was the school’s first men’s basketball coach when Panther Creek opened in 2006 and coached for three seasons before leaving the school for other opportunities.   He worked at the University of South Carolina and then coached professional basketball in Japan before coming back to Panther Creek in 2011.

     He took back over as head basketball coach in 2012 and then coached two years.  Panther Creek went to the Eastern Regional tournament this year.
