CHARLOTTE—David Butler High School has hired Myron Lowery as its new men’s head basketball coach, according to the Charlotte Observer,

     Lowery has formerly coached at Providence and Harding in MecklenburgCounty and has logged 17 years as a head coach.

     Lowery, who was an assistant coach at Olympic last year, had coached at Providence until resigning in June of 2013.

    He replaces Donald Kirby at Butler, who resigned earlier this spring as coach.
