CARY—Shawan Robinson has been named as the new head men’s basketball coach at Panther Creek High School, according to a variety of media reports including The Raleigh News and Observer.

     He has served as an assistant coach for the past two years at Panther Creek on the staff with L.J. Hepp. Hepp served as head coach and has resigned that position but will remain as athletic director.

     Robinson was an outstanding player at Leesville Road who went on to an excellent collegiate career at Clemson. He also played professional basketball overseas for several years.
