Marvin Ridge Has New Athletic Director

         Tom Jamerson has been named the new athletic director at Marvin Ridge High School, according to a press release issued by the Union County Public Schools.

         Jamerson has thirteen years of experience as an athletic director, having served in this role at Charlotte Christian, Wheaton Academy in Illinois, and Regents School in Texas.

        Prior to his work as an athletic director, Jamerson worked in the banking industry. He has coached basketball at the collegiate and high school levels, as well as golf and softball. He is a graduate of Ohio University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business dministration with a concentration on finance. While at Ohio University, he was a four-year letterman on the varsity basketball team. In addition to his work as the athletic director at Marvin Ridge, Jamerson will teach business courses within the Marvin Ridge Career and Technical Education Department.

       With regard to his new role, Jamerson states, "I'm thrilled to be the new athletic director at Marvin Ridge High School. I have seen Marvin Ridge teams compete throughout the years, and I was always impressed with how well the teams competed. There has always been a great amount of talent among the athletes and the coaching staff. Marvin Ridge always has a passionate fan base and athletic community. There is a tremendous amount of talent and resources here, and I'm thankful and privileged to be able to serve as the athletic director. I cannot wait to get started and meet everyone. I look forward to the upcoming school year."
