A Sun Valley High School football standout had a huge game on Friday night that earned him a performance listing in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book.

     Senior tailback Albert Funderburke was credited with 20 carries for 456 yards, according to the Monroe Enquirer-Journal, in a shootout contest with Piedmont that saw Sun Valley win by 74-58. He scored five touchdowns in the game, tallying on runs of 71, 71, 7, 35 and 42 yards.

     Funderburke's performance is in the top ten all-time in a single game, as reported for inclusion in the Record Book.
