This Day In NCHSAA History

January 12, 2004

On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Ty Carter of Bessemer City launched a NCHSAA record 28 three-point attempts in a 143-49 defeat of Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy. Carter went 11 for 28 behind the arc. His 28 attempts are a NCHSAA record and his 11 made three-pointers are among the NCHAA all-time elite. Almost exactly one year before, on January 11, 2003, Carter also established an NCHSAA record for three-pointers made in a game with 14.
