WILMINGTON—Two New Hanover County high school will have new head football coaches for the 2015 season, according to reports in the Wilmington Star-News.
Kevin Motsinger has resigned from that post at New Hanover and Mike Propst will not return at the helm of the Ashley program.
Motsinger was head coach at New Hanover for nine years before announcing his resignation. He came to New Hanover from James Kenan and posted a 73-43 mark during his tenure with the Wildcats.
Propst had been the defensive coordinator under previous Ashley head coach Tom Eanes, and when Eanes left in June of 2014 to become the head coach at Patton High in Burke County, Propst was elevated to the head position.
Among the stops for Propst as a coach in North Carolina have been R.J. Reynolds and Watauga.
Ashley was 0-10 a year ago.
