MOUNT PLEASANT–  Cody Reece of Mount Pleasant High School had a great 2014 football campaign as one of the state’s top running backs and has earned a couple of performance listings in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book.

         Reece’s 457 carries in a single season is second all-time in that category, and he wound up the year with 3,141 yards, which is 12th on the all-time list for yards in a single season.

         The Mount Pleasant back also earned a spot on the single game list when he rambled for 384 yards in a 42-14 victory over North Rowan.
