CHARLOTTE– Mallard Creek High School, which has won the last two North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-AA football championships, plans to add two major new additions to its football stadium next season, according to a report in the Charlotte Observer.
Mallard Creek is hoping to add a new state-of-the-art video board and scoreboard. Both are expected to be finished in time for the start of the 2015 football season in August, pending availability of funds from advertisers and sponsor commitments to the Mallard Creek booster club.
According to the story, the additions to the stadium will provide high quality video, sound and entertainment for Mallard Creek football, soccer and track events hosted at the stadium. There are also plans in the works for educational opportunities to students by training them to operate the equipment.
