East Tennessee State Will Host Strength and Conditioning Clinic

       JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Member schools in the NCHSAA, especially in the western part of the state, may be interested in this particular opportunity.

       On Saturday, May 2, the East Tennessee State University football program will host the 2015 Buc Football Strength & Conditioning Clinic inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletics Center.

       The clinic will feature tutelage and demonstrations led by ETSU Football Director of Strength & Conditioning Al Johnson and ETSU Director of Football Operations Lee Morrow. Assisting in the clinic will be University of Tennessee Football Director of Strength & Conditioning Dave Lawson and Tennessee Associate Football Director of Strength & Conditioning Mike Szerszen. Additionally, ETSU head football coach Carl Torbush and Hammer Life Fitness National Strength & Conditioning Consultant Heather Mason will contribute to the clinic.

      The clinic schedule features registration from 7 – 8 a.m. and will follow promptly with words from Torbush. Presentations from each of the strength & conditioning professionals will then take place until the group breaks for lunch around noon. The clinic will wrap up with practical, hands-on demonstrations from 1 – 4 p.m.

      Clinic costs are $50 per person if one pre-registers before April 27. A staff rate for groups of four or more coaches is $45, while ETSU staff and students can register for $30. Registration on the day of the camp will be accepted along with an additional $10 fee. Only cash, money orders, or personal checks will be accepted at registration on the day of the camp.
