Umpires Assist With Senior Exit Project At Andrews High

ANDREWS—Andrews High School senior Isaac Cunningham had some help with his senior exit project at his school, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times.

The project by Cunningham raised raising approximately $1,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

But here is what Andrews athletic director Dane Rickett reported to the newspaper:

Andrews High School would like to give a sincere thank you to Herb Oxendine, Pete Exine, Dale Buchanan and John Roberson of the Mountain West Officials Association for donating not only their time, but their game fees to senior Isaac Cunnigham's Senior Exit project.

The baseball and softball games between Andrews High School and Copper Basin (Tennessee) High School on April 23, 2015, were a fundraiser in support of The Wounded Warrior Project. Isaac, through many donations including the game fees, donations from the Copper Basin teams, a " Wear Camo to school day" and a BBQ sale at the game, was able to donate almost $1,500 to support our nation's heroes.

Thank you again. These guys not only gave time and money, but helped    our student athletes understand more about the true spirit of competition and helped them to see the big picture a little more clearly—thanks, guys, for a job well done.

Cunningham has played two sports, including basketball and football, for Andrews.

Congratulations to Isaac Cunningham for his project and to all those, including those officials, who helped to make it a success!
