WINSTON-SALEM—Laquanda Quick, who has been the head women’s basketball coach at West Forsyth for the last six years, has resigned as a coach and teacher at the school, according to a report in the Winston-Salem Journal.

           Quick was a star at West Forsyth during her prep days when she was LaQuanda Barksdale, playing from 1993 through ’97.  She played collegiately at North Carolina and then played in the WNBA.

         She guided her team to the North Carolina High School Athletic Associatoin 4-A state championship game and had an overall record of 108-52 during her tenure at West Forsyth.
