RAEFORD—Jamie Coleman has been named as the new head baseball coach at Hoke County High School, according to a report in the Fayetteville Observer.
Coleman will take over for Mike Ray at Raeford, who retired from coaching because of health issues. Ray has been battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease for several years and previously had been named the recipient of a North Carolina High School Athletic Association Courage Award.
Coleman has formerly been the head baseball coach at Scotland. He will also be an assistant coach with the Hoke County football program.
