            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Glaxo Wellcome announced a gift of $100,000 to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association for the NCHSAA Hall of Fame. The donation, made over a four-year period, enabled the Association to create a special endowment to subsidize the activities of the Hall of Fame, including the special induction banquet in the spring which the company has helped sponsor.
