CLEMMONS—Brittany Cox has been selected to serve as West Forsyth High School’s new women’s varsity basketball head coach, according to a report in the Winston-Salem Journal.
Cox was a star player at Bishop McGuinness High School and played on four North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 1-A championship teams from 2006 through ‘09. She went on to Pfeiffer College, where she had an outstanding career and graduated in 2013 as the third-leading scorer in school history, finishing with 1,669 career points and earning all-Conference Carolinas honors three times.
The new coach is 24 years old and replaces LaQuanda Quick, who resigned earlier in the summer and is now an assistant coach at Winston-Salem State. Cox has served as a graduate assistant coach at Campbell University for the past two years.
