WEEK 23 | 2023-24 ORTHOCAROLINA PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media and school administrators for their outstanding performance.  

The OrthoCarolina Performers of the Week for week 23 of NCHSAA competition are D’Anna Cotton from Cummings and Le’Ezra Brown from Dudley. 

Cotton, a sophomore, had a stellar performance at the Indoor Track and Field Championships as she won the High Jump, the Long Jump, the 55 Meter Hurdles and took second in the Triple Jump. She tied the 1A/2A record in the high jump and was named Most Outstanding Performer at the meet.

Brown, a junior, also had a standout showing at the Indoor Track and Field Championships as he won both the 55 Meter Dash and the 55 Meter Hurdles race. He set a new 3A record in the hurdles with a time of 7.25.
