Chris Simpson has been named as the head wrestling coach at South Davidson High School, according to various media reports.

       Simpson is a graduate of South Davidson who won an inidividual North Carolina High School Athletic Association state wrestling championship in 2001.  He is a 2005 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

       Simpson will continue to coach the South Davidson golf team and is also serving as an assistant football coach. 

       He began his coaching career at South Robeson.
