SOUTHERN PINES– Long-time Pinecrest High School volleyball coach Barbara Foxx achieved a remarkable milestone on Tuesday night, according to a report in the Fayetteville Observer.

       Foxx recorded her 700th career victory as a head coach as her Pinecrest team downed Lumberton in three straight, by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-23.

       The veteran coach, who also has served a term on the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Board of Directors from 1995 to 1999, began coaching in 1978 and has guided her teams to two NCHSAA state volleyball championships.
