WINSTON-SALEM—Atkins High School has announced that Marlon Brim has been named as the new men’s basketball coach at the school, according to a report in the Winston-Salem Journal.

       Brim replaces Stacy Goodson, who had guided the Atkins program the last two seasons. Goodson stepped down to pursue another degree.

       The new Atkins coach previously coached in 2012 and 2013 as an assistant coach at Carver and has some AAU coaching experience. He will also serve as a substitute teacher at Atkins, according to the story.

       Atkins has won a total of four games in the past two seasons.
