The “Fight Like Dylan” Award, now in its fifth year, searches for inspiring high school stories of teams whom have overcome adversity to persevere through sports, and grants one recipient with a $50,000 equipment and apparel grant.
The “Fight Like Dylan” Award is named for Dylan Rebeor, a high school football player who lost his life to cancer in 2010 and whose last wish was for new uniforms for his teammates (granted by Make-A-Wish).
The 2015 judges panel includes former NFL football coach, Tony Dungy, Dylan’s mom, Heather Rebeor, and past award recipients. The award will be presented to the 2015 recipient at the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando, Florida, on December 29.
