MOORESVILLE—Lake Norman High School receiver Corey Joyner had a great 2013 season and has placed his name in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book in football.

Joyner caught 86 passes for 1,708 yards and 21 touchdowns for Lake Norman. His yardage receiving for a single season is the fifth-best recorded in the record book, and his 21 TD catches is in seventh place.

His 86 receptions is in the top 20 all-time for a single season.
