This Day In NCHSAA History

December 1, 2001

On this day in history in the NCHSAA, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association was honored by the University of North Carolina on NCHSAA Day at Kenan Stadium. The game between North Carolina and Southern Methodist had originally been scheduled for September 15 but was postponed due to the tragedy of 9/11. Hendersonville, Charlotte Catholic, East Chapel Hill and Mount Tabor High Schools received Wachovia Cups for the 2000-01 academic year on that day.
