CHARLOTTE—The Olympic High School Trojans put together a rare defensive performance in their 55-0 victory over Charlotte Harding last Friday night.
According to the Olympic statistics, Harding was held without a first down for the entire night, something that has been recorded in the NCHSAA Record Book 16 times. This is, however, the first documented performance of that nature since 2005.
The Trojans also limited Harding to minus-17 yards total offense, including minus-23 on the ground.
Graham High School actually had back-to-back games during the 2000 season in which the Red Devils limited opponents to zero first downs.
