FAIRMONT QUARTERBACK EARNS
RECORD BOOK PERFORMANCE LISTING
FAIRMONT—Fairmont High School quarterback Jerrod Neal had a big night on Friday, earning a performance listing in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association football record book.
Neal threw seven touchdown passes in a wild game, as Fairmont nipped East Bladen by the improbable score of 58-56. Neal threw for 402 yards in the game, according to an account in The Robesonian.
It is the eighth performance recorded in the NCHSAA Record Book with seven touchdown passes. The state record is nine, set by Connor Mitch of Wakefield during the 2012 season in a 70-42 victory over Broughton.
