The September issue of the Our State magazine may be of particular interest to fans of high school athletics and the NCHSAA.

        Our State is considered North Carolina’s premier statewide magazine devoted to travel, history, people and places, and the September issue focuses on “Friday Night Favorites”, including fish camps in the state that are great places to eat and Friday night football, among other things.

        There is a beautiful pictorial feature of the well known Richmond-Scotland football rivalry, with some behind the scenes pictures and a story by Megan Crotty entitled “The Only Game In Town.”

        Andy Griffith’s famous routine entitled “What It Was Was Football” is also featured in the magazine.
