TRINITY—Wheatmore High School has announced a couple of changes in its athletic department, according to a report in the High Point Enterprise.
Rick Halo has been named as the school’s new athletic director and Pete Kilcullen has been selected as the new women’s varsity basketball coach.
Halo replaces veteran Eugene Everhart, who has retired. Halo has been at the school since it opened in 2009 and has coached softball as well as serving as an assistant football coach. He has also taught and coached at Archdale-Trinity Middle School and Trinity High School.
Kilcullen comes to Wheatmore from North Moore. He has been a junior varsity coach at both Lexington and Southwestern Randolph, served as a varsity assistant at Southwestern and was head coach for three years at Randleman.
Kilcullen will be the distance learning advisor at the school, according to the report.
