NFHS LAUNCHES ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL CAREER CENTER
INDIANAPOLIS— High school administrators across the country are now able to conduct nationwide searches for athletic department job openings with the launch of the NFHS High School Career Center. In addition, job seekers can post a rèsumè and search the listing of jobs free of charge.
The NFHS High School Career Center is located on the NFHS Web site and can be accessed at careercenter.nfhs.org.
“With the high turnover rate of high school coaches and athletic administrators, the NFHS wanted to provide an easy way to connect schools with potential employees,” said NFHS Executive Director Bob Gardner. “The ultimate goal is to assist athletic departments in finding the right person for every job.”
With posting packages starting at $200 for a single 30-day posting, the Career Center is designed to broaden the search for coaching and other athletic department openings. Employers can gain more exposure for the position vacancy through the “Featured Job” option. Once an account has been created and a job posted, employers can search rèsumès and have qualified job seekers’ information e-mailed to them automatically.
Job seekers also have the ability to customize their job search within the Career Center. Job searches can be done by keywords and location, and job alerts can be created to send e-mail alerts when a job is posted that matches their requirements.
The NFHS High School Career Center is part of the Sports and Athletics Career Network (SACN), which includes job boards for other athletics organizations, such as the NCAA, National Junior College Athletic Association and the American Football Coaches Association. NFHS High School Career Center users are also able to view job postings posted to the entire SACN.
