2021-2022 WEEK 7 | Performance of the Week, Powered by OrthoCarolina

CHAPEL HILL— Morgan Ketchum from Reagan High School and Jacob Laney from Porter Ridge High School have been named recipients of the NCHSAA Performance of the Week award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. Each week two athletes in North Carolina High School Athletic Association competition are selected for this award from nominations received from coaches, media, and school administrators. 

Ketchum, a Senior on the Reagan golf team, shot 28 9-hole score, a new non-state tournament NCHSAA record.  Ketchum’s performance led her team to a combined 92, breaking the old team NCHSAA record by 7 strokes.

Laney, a Junior on the Porter Ridge Cross Country team, ran a personal best of 15:23.30 at the Great American Cross Country Festival on Saturday.  His time currently ranks third fastest in NCHSAA competition this season.

Weekly recipients will be recognized on the NCHSAA Website and social media pages.  The deadline for nominations is each Monday at 5 p.m through the online form that can be found here.
