FUQUAY-VARINA—Fuquay-Varina has named Gail Siemer as its new women’s head basketball coach, according to various media reports including highschoolot.com.

Siemer, a native of Severna Park, Maryland, is a 2002 graduate of Shepherd University in West Virginia, where she played basketball and later was an assistant coach there for four years.

She is currently on staff as a physical education teacher at Fuquay-Varina. She has formerly taught and coached at Harnett Central.
