JEFF WILSON REACHES SOFTBALL MILESTONE
COLUMBUS—Jeff Wilson of Polk County High School recently reached an excellent coaching milestone.
Wilson, who serves as athletic director and head softball coach at Polk, recently earned his 300th career victory in the sport in a 17-1 victory over East Henderson.
Wilson started coaching softball in 1995 and has coached at Polk for 17 years, where he has established the softball program as one of the state’s outstanding programs in the sport. His teams have earned a number of conference titles and in 1996 Polk finished fourth in the state tournament at Walnut Creek.
