Royal carried the ball a whopping 41 times and scored six touchdowns as North Duplin had 541 yards rushing. Among his touchdown runs were lengthy scampers of 56, 62 and 92 yards. He ran for 250 yards in the first half alone.

Isaac Marsh of Cleveland recently ran for 404 yards and scored five touchdowns in a game against Southern Wayne, as Cleveland rolled by a 53-26 count. The rushing performances were reported in various newspapers, including the Raleigh News and Observer.
